![]() ![]() And Z-Air Slash easily beats it, and again, you will probably sweep after getting a +4 speed or something. Only HP Fire does anything, as Knock Off is beaten by Z-Move. You are only weak to HP Ice, which Roost beats, and Knock Off doesn't apply through sub. And it's great that if they switch, you get the sub advantage, making a kill easier. SubToxic Zapdos is grossly underrated, as it walls even Chansey, and it's very unpredictable. After that, you sweep, as long as faster threats are removed. Unless they have Sleep Powder or HP Fire, you just set up on it and Pin Missile, as a +4 or 6 Pin Missile easily KOs. I like this one because it provides a sweeping opportunity. It switches in to a Giga Drain because 4x resist, Earthquake because immunity, Knock Off because it's a mega, and Hidden Power because it's 60 bp. I'll probably actually do a How to Counter on this next tbh. (Sleep Powder is still a problem for Hera tho.) It's a complete powerhouse, as with an Assault Vest, it raises it's abysmal SpDef. Safeguard is a decent option if you can find a slot for it because often your support Pokémon will be packed with other moves. From gen six to seven, Tangrowth has gotten a lot more usage, and it's not hard to see why. Safety Goggles are far better than Lum Berry as far as sleep is considered. Instead of going for Sleep, Venusaur can Dynamax and Max Ooze so it's definitely not a safe option. Grass-Types usually losses to both Torkoal and Venusaur. But there are Pokémon that can sacrifice there item slot without losing much so it's still not a bad option. Also your Safety Goggles holder should be able to eliminate the sleep threat because you can only have one holder. I mean I'll think many times before replacing things like Assault Vest, Weakness Policy, Focus Sash, Recovery or Weakness Berry for Safety Goggles. Safety Goggles are perhaps the most reliable but problem with those is if you're not against Sleep, your item slot is getting wasted. And that is assuming you can afford those Pokémon on your team and they are synergizing with rest of your team. Whimsicott will lose against both Torkoal and Venusaur after setting Tailwind and Talonflame will still be put to sleep because it's a flying type. If you want to pick priority tailwind, only options are Whimsicott or Talonflame. If you choose redirecter then it's definitely taking a nap and probably will feint before it can do anything else. So you need a Max Lightning user with Base Speed more than 80 and pair it with a priority Tailwind user or you need to pair it with a redirecter. Other option is to set it manually by Max Lightning but problem with that is no Max lightning user can outspeed Venusaur in Sun. Their bust is usually a B or C cup without Bloom Powder, and is always proportionate to their height, usually 6 feet tall. Both breeds manage to find ways to look different from one another, so this was considered a non-issue. Considered an oversight, this was never corrected in subsequent batches. That's why sleep needs some nerfs.Įlectric Terrain requires a setter and Pincurchin is not a very good meta pick. NurseJoys have a similar genetic anomaly. ![]() There are a lot of things in current meta that we need to be prepared for and considering any Pokémon can also Dynamax anytime on top of that, often it's not possible to have a answer for everything without having risks. The thing is, it's not like you can pick anything from these options and fit on any team. ![]()
